The Planet Venus is the Bearer of Light and the Story Behind the Fall of "Satan" in Isaiah 14

If I’ve ever heard an Old Testament story, I’ve heard it ten thousand times. It comes from Isaiah 14.

12 How you fell from heaven, O Lucero, son of the morning! How you were cut to the ground, you who weakened the nations!

13 Because you have said in your heart: I will ascend to heaven, and I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; and I will sit on the mountain of testimony, on the sides of the north;

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the Most High.

15 But you will be brought down to hell, on the sides of the abyss.

16 Those who see you will look at you carefully, and will consider you, saying: Is this the man who made the earth tremble, who made kingdoms tremble?

This story was THE proof that Satan used to be one of God’s good guys and then all of a sudden one day he decided to take over and knock God off his throne. Local boy goes wrong I guess. Well, Satan, whose term is never mentioned here, the former Light Bearer, which is what Lucifer means, is now the Prince of Darkness and the rest is history.

What is really going on with this story. Did you know that you watch this drama take place literally several mornings and evenings of the year? Did you know that even to this day, this Lucifer is mistaken for UFOs or landing lights? Jesus said that he saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning as did millions then and billions today if you know where to look. It’s a very old story based on a very real observation of humans who made up a story about what they didn’t understand at the time.

First of all, let’s understand that Isaiah 14 is not really about a Satan the Devil as he has become throughout the history of the Church. A scripture can never mean what it never meant, and this principle applies to Isaiah 14 for sure. In the original Hebrew text, Isaiah chapter 14 is not about a fallen angel, but about a fallen Babylonian king, who had persecuted the children of Israel. Later in the context we see that he was a man who died. Now, we often hear that he was about a “guy,” but that’s mostly slippery ground. Metaphor maybe, but not a type, where we can change a man into Lucifer and then Lucifer into Satan, never mentioned, and then all about how Satan came to be the God of this world, so send your titles and be sure . with us. “In the Hebrew text, the expression used to describe the king of Babylon before his death is “Helal, son of Shahar”, which can be better translated as “Daystar, son of the morning”. The name evokes the golden glow of a proud king’s dress and court (as much as his personal splendor earned King Louis XIV of France the nickname “The Sun King”).

{Craig Lyons-Bet Emet Ministries.} The King here was a man, plain and simple, and because of his arrogant attitude, he had to die like everyone else.

Lucifer means “light bearer” and is a term used by Roman astronomers to describe the planet Venus. Venus has always been the bearer of light, as it always precedes the morning sun. It is very bright and very noticeable, so it has been mistaken, as has been said, for non-existent aircraft landing lights. It’s bright, but not as bright as the sun, of course. In mythology, humans noted this ‘god’ who preceded the sun and seemed to be running towards the zenith, which in astrotheology is called the place of the “Most High” or we are simply told today, NOON! Noon is the throne of God in astrotheology. terms. In Isaiah, this “Illuminator” went before God, the Most High – The SUN. The highest point in the sky where the sun or anything that shines off the planet can rise, from our perspective. When mythology and even the Bible speak of God as “Most High”, one can see the deeper meaning implied by Sun worship. The Bible promotes a similar but different form of Sun/Son worship, but one that has been lost. in most Christians today.

The planet Venus turned out to be an enigma for humanity. His job seemed to be to go before the morning sun and announce, as it were, that he is coming out. But then, brilliant as it was and still is, it falls from the sky and descends to the ground, or in mythology, appears to be thrown. Weird! Not knowing that Venus was an inner planet and that all the inner planets that revolve with the earth around the sun can never pass over us from east to west as the outer planets and stars do, they had to explain. Thus, we have the “fact” that this light bearer, this Lucifer soon to be called Satan, MUST have become dissatisfied with just announcing the Sun God, so he MUST have said in his heart, “I will become the MOST HIGH.” “. Well that was it for him! The Most High, unwilling to cede his throne to this usurper, simply cast him back to earth, or apparently at least when we look at the horizon. After that rather unsuccessful effort to dethrone the Most High God, we are left with him as Satan compliments of the Church, who embellished history and ta ta!… The mess the world is in is explained and it is not the fault of humanity for the most part. Forever more, we can say, “Satan made me do it.” You know, the bright morning star who tried to become God but lost.

It was primarily the Catholic Saint Jerome in the fourth century who mistranslated the Hebrew metaphor, “Lucero, son of the dawn,” as “Lucifer,” and an evolution of ideas took place over the centuries. Lucifer, the morning star, became a disobedient angel, expelled from heaven to rule eternally in hell, waiting mainly for all non-Catholics, but later also for all non-Protestants. Now the Church had its Prince of the Power of Air, the Prince of Darkness, the God of this world, the Roaring Lion, the Fallen Angel, the ancient Day star (for if you know where to look, Venus can even be seen during the day). )… went wrong.

Interesting enough, even Jesus, well, the Jesus of Revelation who doesn’t look like the Jesus of the Gospels, identifies himself as the morning star, a term used as a central theme in many Christian sermons. Jesus refers to himself as the morning star in Revelation 22:16: “I Jesus have sent my angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, and the shining star of the morning”.

So here we have it. Humans have never been able to explain why this bright “star” we know as the planet Venus preceded the morning Sun as if to announce its arrival, but then crashed to earth. Very strange! Let’s make up a story! This bright light, an Angel, the Light Bearer and lesser deity compared to the SUN, really went wrong and decided to strike down the SUN GOD, and later the SON of GOD, from the throne, which is where the SUN rises when it sets. becomes the HIGHEST and NOON. God, not enduring that, simply cast Lucifer, now Satan or the Destroyer, back to earth where he belongs and humans can be stuck with him until the SON of the SUN God returns to destroy the works of the Light Bearer now. . obscured Great story! In Isaiah 14, this haughty king was acting like that thinking he could get Israel out of the picture, lost, was struck down and died, just like that planet Venus every morning. So don’t mess with God’s chosen ones! 19 But you were thrown out of your grave like an abominable branch, and like the garment of the dead pierced by the sword, which descend to the stones of the pit; like a trampled corpse.

In the true story of the true human king in Isaiah 14, we see that he dies like all mortal men and is frowned upon for thinking that he might defy Israel. In verse 19 we read: “But you were thrown out of your grave like an abominable offspring, and like the garment of the slain pierced by the sword, which go down to the stones of the grave; like a trodden corpse.” 20 You will not join them in burial, because you have destroyed your land and killed your people; Graves, corpses, pits, burials, and oblivion are all features of what happens to humans, not angels or mini-gods.

It’s interesting, Venus also rises beautifully bright in the evenings after the sun sets, and then falls back to earth as well. Perhaps Satan has just emerged from the underworld of darkness to reach a peak and to let us know that he still rules it before stepping back an hour later after “Sunset” where even the Highest Sun goes every night, in Egyptian history, to challenge “SET” God of the Underworld. He makes you wonder about the stories about the Children of the Sun preaching to the spirits in “jail”. But that is another story.

So when you see Venus early in the morning when you drive to work and think that a train if it’s low enough or a plane looking for a place to land is coming right at YOU, know that that’s just the Bringer of the Light, Lucifer, later your arch-enemy Satan, announcing “But to you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with salvation in his wings; and you will go out and grow up like calves of the herd” Malachi 4:2. Notice that it doesn’t say “Sound”. Think of the wings more like lightning bolts and you’ll get the picture. That beautiful planet Venus is explaining a phenomenon that we have long taken for granted to humans who feared such things and simply had to devise a theology to explain it. Now you can say that you also saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven… how cool is that!
