Three Fire Pit Set Purchase Factors

Who said patios, porches, and backyards are only for spring and summer? A slight chill in the air is not a reason to give up quality time outdoors! Purchasing a fire pit set can provide enough heat to extend your time outdoors. The pit can also be a great excuse for sausage roasts, s’mores nights, and other fun times gathered around the glow of the fire.

However, there are a few things to think about before heading to the store to buy a fire pit set. Here are three different things to keep in mind when shopping for these fun fall fighters.

First, you should probably find out if you are breaking the law or not. Many cities have very strict fire codes that don’t really allow the use of campfires. Nothing can ruin a beautiful October night faster than a visit from the police and a ticket for violating a local ordinance. Make a few calls to the appropriate local government contacts before purchasing a device. No sausage roast can be tasty enough to warrant a night in jail.

Second, consider how the set will look. Some of the cheaper options are, to be honest, a little less than attractive. If it’s going to be a regular part of your backyard or patio, buy something attractive. You may spend a few extra bucks to get away from the bottom of the barrel options, but it’s well worth the money. You don’t want an ugly campfire set. You don’t necessarily need a buried unit with a nice rock ring around the pit. However, some of the cheap fire pit sets look like nothing more than a metal grate casually molded over a black burning deck. Scale

Third, place the set wisely. First of all, don’t just drop the fire pit that seems to look half decent. You need to consider the location of the well both in terms of convenience and safety. As noted, a hot dog does not make up for a night in the clink. Likewise, even the richest s’more in marshmallows can’t justify a house on fire. Be smart when you position your set. Oh, that includes taking into account the wind.

There are three simple recommendations! Stay legal, avoid the ugliness, and place your fire pit in the best location possible. Unbelievably, if you follow these simple words of wisdom, you’ll be all set for a great fall-fighting campfire game! Save a hot dog and a s’more for me!
