Like it or not, the holidays are only a few months away. Once the kids are back at school and the sand has been cleaned from the bathing suits, it’s time to get down to business with gifts for mom and dad. You’ll have a hard time finding something special for dad again and you’ll end up buying him a tie or movie tickets again. Why not try taking some time and asking the question “what’s the best TV show you’d love to have on DVD?” Thanks to the magic of technology, many of these old shows are now DVD box sets that can be given as the perfect gift.

Dad is especially hard to shop for since he pretty much has everything he needs. He is growing in age and plays in the garden or in the house, but there was a time when the two of them sat together on Thursday night waiting for their special program to start. It was a tradition. After dinner, you would finish your homework. A few minutes before 8:00 you would jump into the big recliner with him and wait for your special show to start.
